I. COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and other similar mechanisms to understand how users interact with our Website and for marketing purposes, including displaying advertisements to them in other places on the Internet.
# What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file stored by a website on your computer, phone, or other device while you browse the website. The cookie contains data about your use of this site.
Some cookies are essential for the operation of our Store and cannot be disabled.
In other cases, when you first visit our Website, we ask for your consent to install cookies. We do not use advertising or analytical cookies (or any other non-essential cookies) without your consent.
# What cookies do we use?
- Essential cookies
- These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the website. You cannot disable them because, without them, our website simply will not function correctly.
- In this regard, we use a tool that stores your privacy settings. It shows your consent or lack thereof for enabling different types of cookies on our website.
- Other essential cookies on our Website are used for its proper functioning and management, including making changes to the site and enabling tracking tools to which you have consented.
- Statistical analysis of our Website
- We use analytical tools to collect data that helps us understand how users interact with our Website. The data we receive from these tools does not provide us with information about a specific person known by name, but it allows us to record various aspects of how a particular user uses the Website. We can aggregate and analyze this data statistically and then use it to make decisions about changes in our Store and/or how we conduct our advertising and marketing communication.
- You can find a list of the analytical tools we use on the Website, along with explanations of: (i) who the tool provider is, (ii) what exactly it is used for, (iii) what data is collected by the tool – in Annex No. 1 to this policy, and briefly in the cookie consent management panel.
- Advertising cookies
- We use advertising tools that allow us to display our ads on other websites you visit, including on social media (so-called targeted ads), measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and tailor the content of our communications to you based on the information we have about you.
- You can find a list of the advertising tools we use on the Website, along with explanations of: (i) who the tool provider is, (ii) what exactly it is used for – in Annex No. 1 to this policy, and briefly in the cookie consent management panel.
- Functional cookies
- Some cookies on our site serve to activate additional tools on the Store's website, such as chat, product review modules and/or stars, the ability to recommend a product to a friend, the ability to display products you recently viewed in our Store, etc.
- You can find a list of the functional tools we use on the Website, along with explanations of what exactly they are used for, in the cookie consent management panel.
- Social media plugins and links
- We have placed links to our social media profiles: Facebook on our Website. If you visit our profile on a given service, the owner of that service will receive – just like when users navigate from any other website to another website – information that you reached these services from our Store.
- You can find details on data processing by these social media services on the providers' websites:
- Facebook and Instagram – https://www.facebook.com/privacy/center/
- Videos
- Some videos on the Website are embedded using plugins from YouTube (a service owned by Google). When you play such a video on our Website, Google receives this information from your browser, even if you do not have a Google/YouTube account or are not currently logged in. If you have previously logged in to the aforementioned service, the service provider will be able to directly associate the video playback with your profile.
- If you want to prevent Google from collecting information about your activity on our Website, you can:
- not play the video (We will treat your consent to play the video as consent for other videos on our Website – until you withdraw it, i.e., change your cookie preferences),
- not consent to cookies from this service on our Website,
- or you can log out of the service.
- You can find more information about data processing by YouTube here.
# Legal issues regarding cookies
The legal basis for the use of essential cookies (as indicated above in the section "What cookies do we use?") by the Store is our legitimate interest, i.e., the right to operate a Website that supports our business and the necessity of maintaining its security.
The legal basis for our use of other cookies is your consent.
In connection with our processing of your personal data through cookies, you have the rights described below at any time.
Our use of cookies, particularly for advertising purposes, may involve so-called profiling. This means that we or the marketing companies we use may create a user profile based on collected information (e.g., email address, order history, type of device, technology used, frequency of visits) and based on this, formulate future purchasing predictions. This allows us to make decisions about what content (including advertisements) to display on our and other websites.
# How long do cookies remain on the user's device?
It depends on whether they are "persistent" or "session" cookies. Session cookies, i.e., information necessary for the correct functioning of browser features, expire at the end of the user's session, meaning each time you close our Website. Persistent cookies, which make it easier to use the site (e.g., remembering the selected resolution, content layout, user preferences, recently viewed products), will be stored in the browser longer and will remain there until their expiration date unless you delete them earlier using the settings in the browser menu.
Third-party cookies (i.e., analytical, advertising, and social media-related) are subject to their own privacy policies, which we provide links to in this policy.

- LIST OF ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICAL TOOLS USING COOKIES
- ANALYTICAL COOKIES:
- We use Google Analytics
- The information collected by Google Analytics about users includes: how many times a user visits the site; which subpages are visited; the date of the first and last visit; duration of visits; the page from which the user accessed the site (referrer); browser used by the user; the link clicked; the location in the world from which the user accesses, anonymized (shortened) IP address, etc.
- Google assigns a unique identifier (known as Google ID) to individual users and collects data from cookies from various websites on its servers. We – as the owner of the Website – may receive reports (statistics) from Google related solely to traffic on our Website. These reports only include users who have consented to the recording of their visits by Google Analytics on our Website.
- Further detailed information about how Google Analytics works can be found here and here.
- You can also permanently prevent Google Analytics from recording information from your browser by installing a special plugin available here.
- Cookies from our Store software provider
- The software provider that enables our Store to function – i.e., the owner of the shoper.pl platform – places cookies on our Website to collect aggregated information about how customers use online stores (visited subpages and time spent on them, displayed products, clicks on the Store page, analytical information about purchases, e.g., conversion rates).
- This data is used to create aggregate reports for e-store owners, containing general (non-personal) information such as which products are of interest to customers of a particular store, during which periods of the year there is increased traffic or sales in stores, etc. This helps sellers (including us) to improve their stores and optimize sales processes.
- Full information on this topic can be read in the Cookie Policy for Visitors to Shoper Stores.
- We use Google Analytics
- ADVERTISING COOKIES
- We use Google Ads and other Google advertising tools
- Google collects data from cookies placed on your device on its servers. This data is collected on all sites where you have allowed the use of cookies for advertising purposes by Google (including on our Website), as well as from ads you have clicked. Google uses this information to display ads on other sites you visit. Typically, Google cookies expire after 3 months.
- As advertisers using Google services, we do not have access to data from cookies stored on your device, but we can target ads to audience groups with specific characteristics selected by us, e.g., to all people who visited our website (or a specific subpage) in the last 7 days. This data is only used for statistical purposes, and ads are targeted based on aggregated criteria (to specific target groups, not to individual users).
- We may also use (within the Google Marketing Platform) tools that measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (e.g., how many people clicked on a particular ad within a specified time).
- More about how Google uses cookies to display ads and how you can manage your ad settings can be read here and here.
